Strawberries & Cream Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 cup halved fresh strawberries
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 scoops Strawberry Ka’Chava
- 1/4 tsp ground vanilla or vanilla bean paste
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- Cold milk and honey for serving
How to make
- Prep the strawberries
- Add the sliced strawberries to a pot or shallow pan, along with the sugar and salt
- Cook on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries release their water and begin bubbling
- Reduce the heat to low and let the strawberries continue to cook until jammy and syrupy
- Remove from the heat and set aside
- Prep the oatmeal
- Add the oats, Strawberry Ka’Chava, vanilla bean, kosher salt, and milk to a medium-size pot
- Heat on medium-high heat until bubbling, then reduce the heat to low and let cook, stirring occasionally
- Cook the oatmeal
- Once the oatmeal is done, cover the pot with a lid and let the oatmeal sit for anywhere between 5-10 minutes
- Then pop the oatmeal into a bowl, spoon over the stewed strawberries, a generous dollop of honey, and a splash of cold milk
- Enjoy!
