Plant-Based Family Living
I became passionate about spreading the message of compassion and showing people that you don't need to consume animal products be healthy and fit. I want more people to realize that you can not only survive but thrive on a plant-based diet! I want people to know how healthy and delicious plant-based meals are and that you don't need to consume animal protein to build muscle.
Going plant-based was the best decision we made for our family.
Study after study shows that a wholefoods plant-based diet is the healthiest way to go. It is the position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, that a well planned plant-based diet is healthful, nutritionally adequate and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases and is appropriate for all stages of life, including pregnancy, infancy, childhood and beyond.
Don't get discouraged when you get criticized by society for raising your children on a plant-based diet because they think they won't get enough nutrients. Do research and educate yourself through books, documentaries, peer reviewed studies etc so you can confidently provide answers to those who are in doubt and do not take other's opinions personally.
By implementing a plant-based diet you are not only going to improve your health but also lighten your footprint on the environment and not support suffering of innocent sentient beings. Aligning your morals with your actions is pretty powerful.
I like to have Ka'chava shakes after my workout If I don't have time to sit down and have a meal or whenever I'm out and need a quick healthy snack. My favorite super simple recipe is to blend one chocolate scoop and one vanilla scoop with soy milk, frozen blueberries and ice cubes. Absolutely delicious!
